Antiga Shipyard
Entombed Valley
Metropolis
Going with this list
Ladder maps most likely
This time around, players will veto maps they don’t want to play and then a list will be generated for each matchup based on the maps favored by both players. The first map will be determined by both players preferences and then the loser will pick the further map.
For example
Map list antiga, lost temple, entombed, BGH, steppes of war, xelnaga caverns, daybreak
Player 1 hates antiga and entombed
Player 2 hates BGH and Steppes of war
Lost temp, xelnaga and daybreak are the maps used.
Random generation will determine the first map
We plan on have 11 maps and players can get rid of 3 or 9 maps get rid of 2, making a 5 map pool given players select unique options (no overlap).
This allows players to never play certain maps, allowing to focus training/practice.

EDIT I think I voted group system, but now that I read it over again, it does seem like it would create a lopsided tournament, with lackluster finals. It also encourages someone to throw their first game. Someone might even meta game the meta tournament, and decide to play their first match really well, because he assumes everyone else will throw their first game thinking they will get an advantage by going to the losers side. I'm gonna meta those people by voting we discuss other systems! ha.
My opinion, is do a group stage first round, but the winners and losers get seeded into two separate tournaments. I dunno, just an initial thought. I also liked the system of the last tournament.
I have thought it over, and i think the best format is do group stages into seperate swiss tournaments. Bracket systems only work on a even skill level (ie MLG). Like many have said, it will be stale and be dumb match ups. Swiss really seperates the skill lvl nicely and gives players a really nice gauge on how well they did. I think this go around there will be prizes for the top 6-8 really make those middle positions a tough competitive fight, leading to better matches.
Quick update. I am almost done the poster for it. DONE!
